An Introduction to the ArchivesTestimonials
We are able to live by this craft only so long as we make people happy and consider the future. My design and our workmanship are informed and animated by the comfort and value they give to our patrons and their heirs. We are gratified and invigorated by the expressions of surprise, pleasure, satisfaction, and joy that we receive by call, email, and letter from our patrons. For years these records have been filed as they come and have sat in folders out of view. This website is just the place to present them. I have transcribed excerpts from many of the letters and emails and a couple of texts taken from the answering machine and have sorted them by date, last first. I will be adding the new to the top of the list as we go along and keeping this archive accessible. Leslie said, "Nobody is going to read all of that." And I don't presume so, but scrolling through some of it might be of benefit to you if you are taking the measure of our furniture.
Publicity
If I have a marketing strategy, it is to convey to a broad community that we have exacting ethical and technical standards. If I have a plan for my time, it is to live an interesting life that creates and leaves value for others. There is nothing like someone else's words in print or other media to convey our standards to our community or to remind us that working with family and friends to build beautiful things for generations of use is an interesting and worthwhile endeavor. |
