The Weeks Rocker in Walnut

I took this photo in the old stone house on the Latchford Ranch where we lived.  The stand-out contrast of the walnut with the off white walls and floors in this room always pleased me.

The rocker in a corner or a nook of den, library, or bedroom sets up a space and a place to read.  I read in my rocker and consider it unexcelled for the purpose — providing support for muscle and bone and occasional motion for blood and nerve — keeping my body out of consciousness and my brain in gear.
