We work in several buildings. They are knitted together by wires, plumbing, walks, and purpose.
In 1992, we started building rocking chairs in a barn under a live oak. It had a certain charm, but it did not have good light, insulation, or enough room. The cowboy concrete floor was not flat and was so rough it wore out our boots.
In 2001, we were making furniture in a new woodshop, of our design and construction, with good light, insulation, a flat floor, and almost enough room. We were awarded a Green Building Certificate by the City of Austin.
