I joined Gary Weeks and Company in the beginning of 2016 not knowing quite what might lay before me in terms of a journey into woodworking and specifically creating fine furniture. I soon realized that this venture had brought me closer to something even more familiar which is artistry.
My mother and grandfather undoubtably had a lasting influence on my love of the arts early on as she was an art/special education teacher, and he was a carpenter/craftsman. Upon entering college in 1997, I soon began pursuing a degree in sculpture while attending the University of North Texas in Denton. Later, I completed an art degree at Texas State University in 2008 after having my first son, Warren, in 2005. From the moment I began attending sculpture classes I knew I had a passion and aptitude for working with materials by hand.
I am honored and thrilled to be learning from and working alongside a team of such talented craftsmen here at Gary Weeks and Company, and I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to create something beautiful that others can cherish for generations.
