We live and work in Wimberley, Texas Hill Country, thirty five miles from Austin.

The "& Company"

Leslie and I named this business in 1999. We had been making the Weeks Rocker for seven years. The rocking chair was becoming the foundation of a business. At the time, the “and Company” part of the name was hopeful.

Our son, Austin, joined us. Others have signed on. It takes people of character to fulfill the highest standards of service and craft.  They work here. They are the Company.

Because this endeavor is greater than Gary Weeks, I have regrets about the prominence of that part of the name…but it is for sure right in this way: If it is not the very best we can do, I don’t want my name on it.

Local Business

Being local means the work is done where the standards are set, where responsibility is clear. Decisions are made close to the craft, not passed along or diluted. What we make reflects the people who make it.

The company is defined by those who show up each day with care for the work and respect for its purpose. Skill matters here, but so does character. Each piece that leaves here carries the care, accountability, and respect for craft that comes from doing work together, in one place.

Online Store

Our online store allows us to offer what we make to people well beyond our local community, without changing how or why it is made. Distance does not lower expectations. Every piece carries the same level of care as if it were staying close to home.

Selling online is a way to extend the reach of our work, not to separate it from the people behind it.

If it carries our name, it reflects the same standards, wherever it goes.
