CollinsWood Announces 1998 Furniture Craftsmanship Awards

The winners of the 1998 national CollinsWood Award for fine furniture craftsmanship using Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified CollinsWood were announced recently. In the “Home Furnishings Over $300” category, Gary Weeks & Company Furnituremakers of Wimberley, Texas, won with a rocker built from Kane Hardwood black cherry.

In the “Home Furnishings Under $300” category, the winner was Robin Tedeschi of The Joinery in Portland, Ore. His bench titled “Robin’s Perch” is also made with black cherry.

Margaret Puckeffe of Corvallis, Ore., won for her Children’s Furniture design, “A Tower of Shelves.”
