The craftsmanship is terrific and the wood lovely, it is a well engineered product. Further, Gary and Co. stand behind their product. I recently had a break in one of the rockers and when I contacted them, they stood behind their warranty and arranged a repair. I received my cherry rocker today and, like the previous one I ordered several years ago, it is exquisite! It truly is perfect in every detail.
Your chairs are one of the few things in life that are crafted to be handed down to generations, as this one will. I have gifted my older chair to my best friend and life partner who, I'm sure, will pass it down to her beautiful family.

I have a very small condominium and when guests visit, they invariably gravitate to your chair. Everyone remarks how beautiful it is and simply can't believe a wooden rocker can be so comfortable. Honestly, your chair should be displayed in the Smithsonian!!

I'm so glad I decided to have you dowel and spline the chair in maple. A small thing to some, perhaps, but it seems to add an even greater artisan touch to your rocker. As the cherry darkens with age, those details will become even more beautiful.

Thank you again for crafting a piece of artisan furniture that comforts the body and speaks to the soul. Those who own one of your rockers will resonate with that statement.

The chair made it to our home in perfect condition. It is a joy just to see and touch the work of art! (my husband is in awe of the finish . . . he wonders what oil you used).

I am a little bony so I do feel more comfortable with a quilt folded over the back and seat. I think the rocking is perfect on the hard floor, but more difficult on the carpet.

Both of my sons-in-law loved the chair. One is now looking for a used one on line. He wondered if ever one is returned, do you sell them?

Anyway, I am enjoying sitting and rocking when I get the chance.

I hope you're well. When my wife became pregnant we began shopping for a nursing chair, hoping that the one we chose would last longer than my wife's nursing. My wife found your company, and your passion for your work was immediately obvious. We ordered a Weeks rocker and it has proved to be a gem in our home.

It served us well while my daughter was a baby, she is now almost three years old. I admire that every detail, EVERY DETAIL, is deliberately thought out and expertly executed. This rocker sacrifices neither form nor function and I am still amazed every time I sit in it; three years after we received it. The rocker does pull you in. It seductively says give me a try. Have a seat. And when you do, you're in no hurry to get up.

Gary — I started life as an architect. So I did the whole design thing through school. My sophomore year we had to design and make furniture. I chose chairs and my prof said I was crazy. Well there were 4 chairs over the course of two semesters. One looked good but killed you when you sat in it. Two were just ok and the fourth was a winner. Chair design is very difficult and having given it a try I know how hard it is. Your rocker is a masterpiece. It seems to be body agnostic, that is, it doesn't matter how tall or wide you are, it is comfortable. Add to that great aesthetics and marvelous craftsmanship and it is a piece that is fought over in an estate settlement.

Before we're done, everyone in the family will be a proud owner of a Gary Weeks rocker.

I wanted to put a review on to your site, but this will have to act as a testimonial, because I am really pleased with everything we purchased from you.

I originally bought the rocking chair because I wanted a comfortable chair that had no upholstery, since I had two cats (enough said there). The chair was so comfortable that I purchased the dining room chairs as well. Also very comfortable. The design is a perfect fit to the human body. Now I have grand children and needed a stool to help them step up to the sink and such, but also for me to sit at their level without struggling up and down from the floor. Once again . . . the stool is perfect. Just the right height and sturdy, well balanced, so no tipping when a child stands on it, and very comfortable to sit on and rise from. The price is also half that of a similar piece I was considering from a local furniture maker. I am very pleased.

Dear Austin and Gary,

The crate arrived last Wednesday and B. was able to be home for that. Since the crate looked well intact they accepted the delivery but waited for us to arrive to open it.

Hi Gary,

We received the maple rocking chair two days ago. It's very well made, and fits both me (5'2") and my husband (5'8") well. It looks and feels better than we expected.

The entire chair is very smooth to touch. The wood grain is really nice, and the finish has an interesting shimmering 3-D effect. My husband was expecting a really light color, like the mass-produced plain maple furniture. He was pleasantly surprised that your hand-rubbed oil finish has darkened the maple and the result is just the right color for us.

Overall, we are quite happy with your rocking chair. We'd highly recommend you to other people in the future.

The beautiful Rocker is simply a product of the most artistic minds and hands in the business of woodcarving. It is more beautiful than we imagined it would be. The rocker and table arrived and are truly wonderful. They felt silky coming out of the box.
