Dear Gary,

Our first son, R., was born on July 23 in Dallas. Already he is enjoying the pleasures of being rocked to sleep in our beautiful new Weeks rocker. It’s the perfect height for anyone who wants to hold and cuddle him and comfortable for the duration of long rocking sessions! We’ll send you a photograph as soon as we sort through the dozens taken since R. joined this world.

Thank you again for your wonderful craftsmanship. D. and I consider ourselves mere caretakers of a beautiful piece that others will enjoy for generations to come.

Hi Gary,

I can't believe I've been enjoying my rocking chair for 4 yrs, 9 mos. I sit in it more than any other chair in my house (even the new sofa we got after we moved in to our new house). I adore the deep rich color & patina it has developed over the years. And I read in it all the time!

. . . when we have visitors the rocking chair is nearly always the first seat chosen by one of my lucky guests. I'm happy to share, since I know they have to leave eventually.

Dear Gary,

The rockers and table arrived yesterday afternoon. The rocker is very comfortable.

We do have one problem though in that the color does not match the other cherry furniture that we just purchased. I believe your rocker is natural color and the other new furniture has a reddish stain. Can anything be done to make them match?

To the Weeks Family and organization,

I took possession of Rocker #1753 in mid 2007. The rocker was impressive then and has improved over time. The workmanship is beyond enviable. It has survived the repeated assaults of my teenage son and his friends. I feel as though my rocker has adjusted to my body, or maybe vice versa, to the betterment of both. I can honestly say that it is my only material possession that I would grieve the loss of. Its true value far exceeds the purchase price.

Dear Gary Weeks,

The chair arrived on Monday and it is spectacular. The walnut is deep and luminous.

To be honest, I had wondered how a wooden rocking chair could be as comfortable as you and your customers claim. But it's true! The chair is comfortable to both me (I'm 5'11") and my husband (He's 5'8"). Even though it's made of wood, it's incredibly soft and supportive.

We are expecting our second child in a couple of weeks, and even at 9 months pregnant I can rock comfortably with our daughter, who's three. I'm so looking forward to nursing and rocking our baby, too.

You really do make a beautiful chair.
