R. is going to send you a picture of the chair in our home — she's in love with it.

I wanted to say something about the shipping. The shipping company, Saia?, was not very professional: they didn't come the day they said they would and then came the next day, in spite of the fact that I had called them and told them we wouldn't be home. Luckily, they came quite late in the day, so we were home, but the driver hadn't used any of the usual mapping resources to find out where our house is and didn't call us for directions until he was on the way. He was driving a huge 18-wheeler and was afraid to come into our lake community and deliver to the house. Luckily, again, a friend with a truck was available to take it from the truck to our house.

[ Unknown to us, our dependable carrier, DBSchenker, handed the chair off to a third party for this rural shipment. We regret the inconvenience. —GW ]

That said, the chair arrived in perfect condition, thanks to your impeccable packing, and it is beautiful and beautifully comfortable.

The rocker arrived yesterday evening and I spent four hours in it. It's just beautiful. The joinery and satin finish on the wood are perfect and your artistry in design and construction as well as your craftsman's attention to detail is like nothing I've ever seen. Please pass on my compliments to everyone on your team that had a hand in this project. It is the finest piece of furniture in the house and will be an heirloom to be passed on to many generations in my family.
