Gary,
The rocker arrived safe and sound yesterday afternoon. It looks wonderful and, more importantly, is a real pleasure to sit in. The chair is very comfortable. It reclines to a very comfortable position for both my wife and I to easily rock it even though we are 6" apart in height. Thank you very much for your wonderful work and know we'll get years of enjoyment from your rocker.
Warm Regards,

Gary,
We got the chair. It looks beatiful and feels great, just as we expected! The build quality is superb and your service exceptional.
After a quick two minute "rocking" on the chair, the only thing I could think of to possibly hope for/comment on — and this is purely a matter of personal taste and influenced by "butt-memory" of the rocking chair in my childhood home in Finland — is perhaps a little bit wider range of rocking when leaning back.
I wonder if you have any comments on this? Perhaps an issue with stability? Having said that, the rocking motion range on your chair is much longer/wider than on any other rocking chair I've tried here in the US.
Again, thanks for the wonderful chair; we look forward to a lifetime of rocking!
Best regards,
J.V.

J,
I am glad the delivery worked for you and that you like the chair. I wish you and R. the best, and thank you very much.
When I designed this chair 12 years ago, I found the curve of the rockers and their relationship to the seat and back by trial and error. Many people tested the prototypes, giving their opinions, and I have delivered many chairs since. You are the first to comment that, for you, the rocker could travel farther back in its pendulum swing. I have had several people say that they are glad the chair doesn't go so far back as to give them any sense that it could go too far — there are some rockers out there that do give one a fright. This is not to say that your memory or experience is invalid . . . I just have to admit that I didn't get it completely right for you and hope that you find the other aspects of the chair pleasing enough to temper this compromise.
May you rock in good health.
Sincerely,
Gary

Gary,
The beauty, craftmanship and comfort of the chair far outweigh my small observation! And I am sure it is only a matter of getting use to the range of motion the chair has.

Gary — As you can see, your chair looks perfect in our new house. Thank you so much. My husband and I are thrilled with it. We are located in Northwest Montana. So, the chair's casual elegance fits perfectly.
I bought it as a Christmas present for my husband, J.

Hi Gary.
BINGO! Mission accomplished! The rocker arrived Tuesday, as advertised. Both S. and K. have tried it out and love it. Now we're all on "high alert" waiting for a sign from the little guy that he's ready to be born. We're getting mighty close.
I can't tell you what a delight it's been working with you. It has given me great comfort to be able to communicate with you on such a regular basis. Knowing you were always just a phone call away or at the other end of an email made the experience all the more personal. Now I have one more request: please don't retire anytime soon! I want to order one of your beautiful rockers for my other son when it's his turn to become a father. Hang in there!
Thank you for everything.

Hi!
My husband got me a cherry rocker for Christmas and it's GORGEOUS! We first saw your rocking chairs in Salado, Texas probably about 8 years ago. We knew that when we had a child that we would want a Weeks Rocker. Well, our daughter is due in a few weeks and the rocker is the perfect Christmas present. It is the most beautiful piece of furniture and so comfortable!
Thank you so much!

Dear Weeks Family,
It's been a few months since my husband and I were in your studio, but I wanted to let you know how much we are enjoying our rocking chair. We are the couple that dropped in late one afternoon to look at your chairs for our nursery. When we got home with our daughter, whom we adopted from Colombia, I went straight upstairs to sit and feed her in our beautiful rocker. I continue to use it everyday and whenever someone comes over to see us I just can't wait to show it off!
It was such a pleasure to meet you and your wife that day. I couldn't be happier with our purchase and the service we received from you both. It's heart-warming to know there are still family-owned companies that put so much of themselves into their product — it really shows how dedicated you are to your craft. We will cherish the rocker for many years.
Thanks so much!

Gary,
You out did yourself!
R. was shocked, breathless and then smiled when sat in 'her' rocker. The people in this part of VA. have never seen such a work of beauty and art.
Simple words cannot describe the heartfelt joy I know this rocker will give her. This whole process has been so much fun I'm going to do the same for my sister in San Diego (I'll keep you posted as to when I'll order.)
Again, my many thanks to you for your 'touch'. Merry Christmas! . . . And we'll be talking!

Gary:
The rocker arrived in perfect shape. I have already rocked my grandson, Rueben (age one month), in it, and he thinks that it is a great ride. I plan to put a lot of miles on it over the holidays.
This is a very good product — the lines, proportion and finish are of superb quality. Thank you for your courtesy in following up on the delivery. Merry Christmas to you, too.

Gary,
Actually he graduates this Saturday. Yes, I did receive the rocker on Friday — in the midst of the snow storm here in Lancaster. I did find a tear in the box, and marked it on the shipping slip — but the rocker was unmarked. I love it Gary — you are right, I don't miss the two extra slats in some rockers. I am really impressed with the finish, the overall craftsmanship of the rocker, and feel of the rocker. I can't wait to give it to M. I must share with you — however, if he is not as excited with it as I am, I will have to return it. As much as I love it, it is a little out of my league for myself.
It is, however, exactly what I was looking for. I think the lines of the rocker would fit well with furniture from modern to Early American. I just love the clean lines and beautiful cherry wood.
Thanks again,
