I'm so sorry I didn't get to beat you to the punch with an email . . .
The rocker arrived safe and sound and it's beautiful!!! J. just loves it!
I stopped to see it the other day and it was better than I had hoped.
J.'s wife who is 7 months pregnant found it very comfortable!!
You have been wonderful to work with and we were all so pleased to give our brother a 50th birthday gift he could cherish forever, and use daily!

Thanks for the email, Gary. Very much enjoying the chair. Beautiful piece. Lovely where it sits in the most prominent spot in our house and comfortable to boot. Thanks for your very careful and precise work. I enjoy it every time I look at the chair. Haven't gotten that first ding just yet. I know it's coming, but for now it still looks like it just came from the shop.

Nap of the rug sends it North a bit, but that's OK.

The whole event inspired me to get my shop back in order. Spent most of Thanksgiving on that project. Had a great time and rediscovered all that stuff I have. I'm not fully back in business yet, but the shop is functional again. Just to prove it I finished a chair I had been neglecting for literally a couple of years.

Looking forward to coming out and visiting again.

Good Morning Gary,

The rockers and table arrived in good condition yesterday without incident. I am very pleased with the rocking chairs and the table is especially attractive. The all weather joinery really adds something to the work. I doubt that we are going to leave the rockers on the porch for any extended period of time. I want to watch the mahogany age gently as the other tables did without adding a major damp and humidity factor.

Please let me know when you decide on a new path with regards to indigenous wood choices.

By the way, we LOVE our chairs — my husband is 6'7" and I am 5'1" and we have spent countless hours over the last 18 months rocking with our first baby boy. It still amazes me that one chair fits us both so well. I can¹t wait for a footstool to accompany it so we can spend just as much time rocking baby boy #2.

We received the table and chairs this morning and they are awesome. The wood looks a lot better than I thought it would. The attention to detail you and your guys did is amazing. I really appreciate what you have done for me. You were a real pleasure to work with.

The whole process to get to the finish project was something I will never forget and you were a big part of it. Most people will look at the table and chairs and think it is some real fine furniture. My daughter will look at it and know how much she means to me, and I will look at it and think of it as an amazing adventure.

Gary,

Thanks so much for your email. Baby L. finally arrived last Thursday. We are over the moon about her, and are very much enjoying rocking her to sleep in the chair, which all of our visitors remark on. We're thrilled with the investment, and look forward to using it for many years to come.

I've attached photos of R. and of my mother both enjoying the chair (and as promised, it works perfectly both for the 6'6" man and the 5'5" woman!).
