From the first moment I sat in a Gary Weeks rocking chair, I knew I wanted one. I'd never sat in a solid wooden rocker that felt so comfortable, rocked so smoothly and gave me such a sense of being held so safety!  It was even more astonishing that people of different heights and body builds said the same thing: "this chair FITS me"!  I ran into members of the Weeks family business at various regional shows through the years, so I kept being reminded of how much I wanted one. I'm embarrassed to say how many years I waited to follow through on this promise to myself, but this year for Christmas I finally bought one! I am so very happy to have this beautiful, comfortable, and superbly-crafted hand-made furniture gracing my home at last.

As an added bonus, I live close enough to Wimberley that I was able to pick up my new chair in person. I am so glad I did!  I got to meet Gary and one of his sons, and tour the woodworking shop.  As a fellow woodworker, I am in awe of the shop - from the custom jigs, the workflow layout, the dust collection slides and gates - just all of it. But the best part was listening to Gary tell about the evolution of the tools and the process. It was a real treat for me that just adds to my appreciation of the actual chair. I know not every buyer is able to have this kind of bonus experience, but if you are in the area, call ahead and ask if a tour is possible.  Even if you're not a woodworker, if you like seeing how things are made, a shop tour is well worth the time and effort. 

Now, if only we could get airlines to use Gary's comfortable seat design….

Good morning Weeks Family - The rockers were a big hit! B. and I love continuing the legacy of Weeks furniture in our hill country home - from straight back chairs of your early days, to new counter stools and now these 4 lovely porch rockers. Every morning we were there with a cup of coffee, and again in the evenings with a good book or a glass of wine while the younger adults grilled! Best rockers ever -beautifully proportioned, oh so smooth rocking and comfortable for HOURS!

My wife totally and completely LOVES your rocker! It's incredibly beautiful and comfortable to sit in. She's maybe happier than expected because the real thing is so well crafted and attractive in person. You all do wonderful work in making rockers that are works of art and very functional. Our small poodle loves it, too. Every time she or I sit in the Weeks Rocker, he comes running to sit on our lap, and rock away.

We received the rocking chairs yesterday in perfect condition, thank you so much they are way beyond our expectations, such an art form. The Xmas lights painted on the box was our Xmas tree and will be for years to come.
